1940 Photo taken/collected by Jane Searing. Courtesy of the Hazard Library, Poplar Ridge. This is the Home for the Aged where Tubman cared for many poor and indigent people from Cayuga County. Previous accounts labelled this as her residence which is know disproved by current research of the firm of Crawford & Stearns, who are now undergoing restoration of the residence building.
